Fortify Cyber is a boutique Australian cyber security consultancy founded in 2025 by Daniel Aldam. We deliver practical, business-aligned security solutions to organisations across critical infrastructure, government, financial services, defence and healthcare sectors.

About Daniel

Daniel brings more than two decades of experience across information technology, cyber security and operational technology environments. His career spans hands-on engineering through to executive leadership, including serving as Chief Information Security Officer for a multi-entity organisation operating critical public transport infrastructure across Australia, where he was responsible for security strategy, governance, and compliance across four subsidiary companies.

Prior to founding Fortify Cyber, Daniel held progressive leadership roles encompassing IT operations, security architecture, application security consulting and systems engineering. He has led cyber security programs for organisations subject to the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act (SoCI), the Australian Government Information Security Manual (ISM), APRA CPS 234, and various state government cyber security frameworks, and has built governance, risk and compliance programs aligned with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, IEC 62443 and Essential Eight.

Daniel is a recognised voice in the Australian cyber security community. He was a recipient of the CSO30 Award in 2022, 2023 and 2024, delivered the International Keynote at the 2024 CIO Executive Summit in New Zealand, and has lectured in cyber security at the University of Sydney and Monash University. He regularly contributes to industry dialogue on compliance, OT security and organisational resilience.

He holds Graduate Certificates in Information Systems Security and Cyber Security from Charles Sturt University.
